Guitar Tuner is a minimalistic Android utility app for tuning guitars. We respect your privacy: the app does not collect any personal information and does not require an account.

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. The only data sent off your device are anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, which help us identify and fix bugs. These reports contain technical information about the crash (stack trace, device model, OS version) and do not include personal data.

All data created in the app — including custom tunings and your preferences (selected color scheme, tuner type) — is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded or synced to any server.

• Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) — used so the app can hear your guitar and detect the pitch in real time. Audio is processed locally and is never recorded, stored or transmitted.
• Internet (android.permission.INTERNET) — used to display ads that keep the app free.

The app shows ads to keep it free. It implements the standard consent dialog for ads as required by applicable regulations (such as GDPR in the EEA and UK). You can change your consent choices at any time from the app settings.

The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL with an updated date.
